A HELPING HAND
About FilePico
Who makes FilePico?
I’m Damien Boury, the creator and developer of FilePico. I build tools for everyday document tasks: preparing supporting paperwork, putting a PDF in order or creating a sheet to print.
My aim is simple, free tools you can use without an account, with clear limits and examples to try. You can report a problem or suggest an improvement. Please do not attach confidential documents.
FilePico brings together small tools for preparing documents: rearrange pages, split a scan, convert a format or explore a file’s structure. Choose an action, then your files and settings.
Processing happens in your browser
The tools in this version read files you choose on your device. They send neither their contents nor their names to a conversion server. The required libraries are supplied with the website.
Loading the site still requires a connection to its hosting provider. As with other web pages, the provider may receive technical connection information. Local document processing does not mean your visit is anonymous.
Your original stays where it is
An operation prepares a new copy to download. It does not replace the original file on your disk. When you download a result, your browser decides where to save it; the application cannot confirm for you that you have kept it.
Saving receipts to a folder is only used if you choose that option and grant folder access in your browser.
A session, not online storage
Working documents stay in memory in the tab. Reloading or closing the page clears the application’s session. Download the results you want to keep. Each tool explains what happens to results when settings change.
The tools require no account and do not store documents in cookies. Preferences you choose to remember stay in your browser; you can clear them from the home page.
Advertising and statistics: what runs today
The application currently loads neither advertising scripts nor audience measurement scripts. The AdSense verification tag does not display ads by itself. The hosting provider, Cloudflare, produces technical traffic statistics: these do not measure your file contents or whether your conversions succeeded.
If advertising or application analytics are enabled, the information and necessary choices must be updated before activation. The privacy page explains how the current version works.
Choose a tool with its limits in mind
Supported formats and size limits are shown next to the tools. For example, converting DjVu to PDF produces images: it does not recognise text. The practical guides explain these differences with examples. Check your copy before using or sharing it.
