A HELPING HAND
Create a QR code and add it to an image
Put a link on a poster, business card or product photo. FilePico creates a static QR code containing your address or text directly, without a FilePico redirect.
Create and check the code
- Choose Link or Text and enter the content. In Link mode, https:// is added if you leave out the scheme.
- Read the exact content below the preview. FilePico does not check whether the destination website exists or whether you typed the right address.
- Create the files. Download PNG for a bitmap image or SVG for a vector layout. The PNG dimensions are adjusted so that each QR module occupies a whole number of pixels.
Place the QR code on your picture
- Open the option to add the QR code to an image and choose a JPG, PNG or WebP file.
- Choose a position and size. Keep the white border around the code: it helps a camera distinguish the code from the picture. The tool may increase the code size to meet its minimum; if the image is too small, use a larger image or shorter content.
- Create and download the PNG or JPG. The picture keeps its dimensions, but metadata is not copied. The QR code is embedded in the exported copy; the original image is unchanged.
Test the finished poster, not just the preview
Scan the exported image with a phone and check the destination. For print, test a copy at its intended physical size: viewing distance, lighting and paper affect readability.
Keep a dark code on a white background. Do not crop away the border or shrink the code excessively in another layout application. Shorter content usually produces a less dense code.
Understand what a static QR code can change
FilePico adds no expiry date. However, the content stored in the QR code cannot be edited after you distribute it. A different address requires a new code, unless you control the destination and manage a redirect there yourself.
The linked website must remain available. A readable QR code does not guarantee that a web page will still exist later. FilePico does not provide destination hosting, scan statistics or a dynamic QR subscription.
