A HELPING HAND

Convert an EPUB book to PDF for reading or printing

EPUB adapts its layout to your screen. A PDF copy has fixed pages: choose comfortable text size and inspect your downloaded copy before printing.

Try the sample book

  1. Open Convert EPUB to PDF and choose Try the small sample book. You can also download the EPUB and import it manually.
  2. Keep A4, 18 mm margins and 12-point text, then choose Create my PDF.
  3. Review the pages for the order of the three chapters, accented characters and the illustration. Download the PDF and open it in your usual reader.

The sample uses original fictional French and English text with an illustration. It contains no DRM or personal data.

Choose the paper and text size

A4 is a common printing format. Letter is a different paper size; A5 creates smaller pages. Check your printer’s paper and scaling settings.

Margins range from 10 to 30 mm, with text from 10 to 20 points. Larger text or wider margins often produce more pages. Each chapter starts on a new page. Create the PDF again after changing settings.

What the conversion preserves

The tool follows the book’s reading order and rebuilds headings, paragraphs, simple lists and JPG/PNG illustrations. The layout is simplified: original fonts, CSS, columns and links are not reproduced.

Pages are stored as images at approximately 120 dpi. Text is not selectable or searchable and there is no OCR. Keep the EPUB when you need adjustable reading or access to its text.

If a book is rejected

This version supports self-contained reflowable EPUBs. Encrypted or obfuscated resources, fixed layouts, tables, formulas, SVG drawings and external resources are rejected. A simple SVG wrapper containing one local PNG/JPG cover is supported. Kindle AZW, KFX and MOBI files are not supported. Changing their extension does not convert them.

Limits are 20 MB compressed, 40 MB unpacked, 100 chapters, 1,000,000 characters, 400 PDF pages and 64 MB output. Each image must stay below 12 million pixels. An accepted book may still be slow on a phone.

A failed import, cancellation or invalid setting preserves the last download. Clear all removes the session; closing or reloading the page also loses it. Download your copy before continuing with the PDF tools.
