A HELPING HAND
Create a selectable PDF from Markdown notes
Prepare meeting notes or a README for sharing and printing while keeping selectable PDF text.
Try a complete document
- Open Convert Markdown to PDF and try the fictional sample note.
- Choose A4, 18 mm and 12 points, then Create my PDF. Check the table, accents and code block.
- Download the PDF, open it in a reader and select a sentence. The file contains real text without OCR.

Adjust the layout
Choose A4 or Letter, margins from 10 to 30 mm and text from 10 to 20 points. Headings use larger text and code uses a monospaced font.
Tables use equal-width columns. Cells and long lines wrap; long table rows can continue on another page. Browser fonts in the layout preview may differ slightly from PDF fonts. Check the final file.
What the PDF preserves
Headings, paragraphs, lists, quotes, simple tables and code are selectable text. Inline bold and italics are simplified. Links become plain text without clickable areas. Images become descriptions and are not fetched.
Raw HTML remains text. Formulas, diagrams and advanced extensions are not interpreted. Western fonts support French accents; emoji and other alphabets can be rejected. Unsupported characters block export rather than silently disappearing.
Keep your result
UTF-8 files are limited to 1 MB, 200,000 characters and 10,000 lines. PDF limits are 100 pages, 16 MB and tables up to 8 columns. Try a shorter excerpt if needed.
Changing the text, title or settings disables export of the previous PDF. Create it again for the updated version. A failure preserves the previous result if its text and settings are unchanged.
After conversion, choose a PDF tool explicitly to extract, remove, merge, organise, rotate or number pages. Download your result before closing, reloading or switching language.
