A HELPING HAND
Convert a WebP image to JPG or PNG
WebP refused by a form or an application? Create a compatible copy without uploading your image.
JPG or PNG?
Choose JPG for a photo on a white background. Adjust quality: re-encoding can change fine details. Output file size is not guaranteed.
Choose PNG to keep a transparent background, for example on a logo. The file may be larger; changing format cannot restore lost details.
Try the sample
- Open the converter and select Try a transparent WebP. You can also download the sample and import it yourself.
- Keep JPG, select Convert images and download the copy: its background is white.
- Choose PNG and convert again: transparency is kept. Pixel dimensions remain unchanged.
Convert several images
- Add your WebP images, in several batches if needed. Move or remove images to organise the list.
- Choose the output format and convert. Download each image or the complete ZIP. Numbered filenames prevent duplicates.
- Open downloaded files before sharing them. After changing settings, convert again; the previous result stays available meanwhile.
Limits and privacy
Static WebP only: animations are refused. 50 images, 20 MB per file, 100 MB total, 24 million pixels and 12,000 pixels per side for WebP. Maximum 100 MB prepared images and 150 MB output.
Conversion uses your browser’s decoder. Invalid or unsupported images are reported without removing files already loaded. Original metadata is not copied into generated files.
Your images stay on your device. Keep originals and download results before closing, reloading or changing language.
