A HELPING HAND
Check CSV or TSV columns and parsing
Inspect an export before processing it: columns, observed types, missing values and a preview of initial rows.
Check file parsing
- Import a CSV, TSV or delimited TXT file, or try the built-in sample.
- If accents or columns look wrong, open reading settings: delimiter, encoding and header row. Analyse again.
- Inspect structure and preview, then find a field or copy its name.
Example: semicolon-separated data
code;city;amount 0012;Lyon;15,50 0013;Brest; Delimiter: semicolon First row: headers 0012 remains text, including its leading zeros
Understand counts and exports
CSV values remain text: suggested types are observations, not conversions. Quoted separators and line breaks are supported. Blank rows count as records.
JSON and CSV exports describe the structure: fields, types and counts, not every data row. Search does not narrow exports. CSV exports protect field names that a spreadsheet could interpret as formulas.
Limits and privacy
Maximum 10 MB, 50,000 records, 500 fields and one million cells. Preview: up to 100 rows and 20 fields, cells shortened to 240 characters. Analysis stops after 30 seconds.
UTF-8, Windows-1252 and UTF-16 are available. Failed or cancelled analysis keeps the last successful result. No file is uploaded; download exports before leaving.
