A HELPING HAND
Merge several PDFs in the right order
A letter, an invoice and an appendix: prepare one document to share while keeping your originals.
Prepare the files
- Open Merge PDF files and add your PDFs. You can add another batch afterwards; those files go at the end of the list.
- Check the displayed file list, then use the up and down arrows to set its order. Each arrow moves a whole file, with all its pages. You do not need to drag it.
- Merge, download the resulting PDF and open the copy in your PDF reader.
Example: three attachments
Letter: 1 page Invoice: 2 pages Appendix: 3 pages Chosen order: letter → invoice → appendix Expected result: 6 pages
In the result, the letter is page 1, the invoice is pages 2–3 and the appendix is pages 4–6. Check those transitions as well as the total of six pages.
Check the document
The displayed list determines the output order. Do not assume your browser selected files alphabetically. This tool lists files and page counts; it does not show individual page previews in merge mode. Check the sources before merging and the downloaded copy afterwards.
Pages keep their original sizes and orientations, and blank pages are included. Merging does not fit everything onto A4 or remove unwanted pages. To rearrange individual pages rather than whole files, use Organise pages after saving the merged copy.
Merging does not automatically compress documents or create a contents page. Keep digitally signed originals: processing does not preserve signature validity. Form fields may be lost; use a flattened copy when needed.
Limits and keeping your work
Up to 30 PDFs, 50 MB per file, 150 MB and 1,000 pages in total. Maximum 150 MB output. Protected files require an unlocked copy.
Processing stays in your browser. Download before closing, reloading or changing language.
What if one attachment is missing?
An import can accept some files and reject others. Read the status message, then compare the names and page counts in the list with your intended attachments. A successful merge only includes the files shown there.
For a protected, damaged or oversized PDF, keep the original and obtain a readable copy within the limits above. FilePico does not remove PDF passwords. Renaming a file does not repair it.
Changing the order after merging
Moving a file after a merge leaves the previous download available and marks it as a previous result. Merge again to apply the new order, then check the new copy. Changing the list does not rewrite a PDF you already downloaded.
Your originals on disk stay unchanged. The working files and results are held in this tab, so save your copy before reloading, closing or changing language.
Need a different page selection?
- Organise PDF pages — Move individual pages, rotate them or remove them using thumbnails.
- Extract PDF pages — Keep selected pages, in the order you enter.
- Remove PDF pages — Remove unwanted pages while keeping the remaining pages in their original order.
