A HELPING HAND

Create personalised bookmarks to print on A4 paper

Prepare a small gift for a reader, a class or your own reading nook. Choose a vintage frame or Christmas design, write your words and download a sheet to cut out.

Compose your bookmark

  1. Open Create printable bookmarks. Try the sample or write a title and a short message.
  2. Choose a vintage frame or one of six Christmas designs. Christmas artwork stays whole at the bottom of each bookmark. The text uses a handwritten font.
  3. For several recipients, enable Different text on each bookmark and use Previous and Next. Check the size and quantity, then create the PDF sheet. You can also download the displayed bookmark as PNG.

Choose a size and paper

Classic bookmarks measure 45 × 130 mm: six fit on an A4 sheet. Large bookmarks measure 50 × 150 mm: three fit on a sheet. Prepare 1 to 12 copies, identical or with different text; the PDF adds sheets when needed.

Slightly thicker paper works well for bookmarks. Cream background gives white paper a vintage look; turn it off for coloured paper or to save ink.

Print and cut out

  1. Download the PDF sheet and open it in your PDF reader.
  2. Choose A4 and 100% or Actual size. Turn off Fit to page.
  3. Test on plain paper, check the dimensions, then cut along the background edge. Frames remain inside the bookmark.

Your words stay on your device

Titles allow 60 characters and the optional message 160 characters. French accents are supported; missing characters and text that does not fit are reported before export. Shorten the wording or choose the large size if needed.

Sheets have at least 10 mm margins, with 5 mm between bookmarks. No manufacturer pre-cut template is used.

Your words and PDF are prepared in this browser with a locally bundled font. Create the sheet again after a change. Download before closing, reloading or changing language.
