A HELPING HAND
Rotate selected PDF pages and keep the others unchanged
A scanned page is sideways or upside down? Select the affected pages, apply a quarter or half turn and save a PDF that is easier to read.
Choose the pages to rotate
- Open Rotate PDF pages and choose your document.
- Browse the preview to find incorrectly oriented pages. Enter their numbers, such as 2, 5-7.
- To rotate the whole document, enter all. Check the selection summary before creating the result.
Numbers refer to positions in the PDF file, counting the cover as page 1. They may differ from numbers printed on the sheets.
Duplicates are ignored. A selection such as 2, 2, 5 rotates pages 2 and 5 only once.
Choose the right angle
- Choose 90° clockwise for a quarter turn to the right.
- Choose 90° counterclockwise for a quarter turn to the left.
- Choose 180° (half turn) to correct an upside-down page.
- Browse the preview again to check the effect of the chosen angle.
Rotation is added to the page’s current orientation. It does not change the order or number of pages.
The same angle is applied to your entire selection. If some pages need a quarter turn and others a half turn, Organise PDF pages lets you rotate individual cards.
Example: correct only pages 2 and 5
Pages to rotate: 2, 5 Rotation: 180° (half turn) Pages 2 and 5 rotate. Other pages keep their orientation.
In this fictional document, pages 2 and 5 are upside down. Enter 2, 5, choose 180° and check those two pages in the preview. The other sheets keep their positions.
For three consecutive pages that need the same angle, a range such as 5-7 saves entering every number.
Download a PDF with the rotation saved
- Select Rotate pages, then download the new PDF copy.
- Open this copy in your PDF reader to check that the orientation is saved.
- If you change the selection or angle, create the PDF again before downloading.
Rotating the view in a PDF reader does not guarantee the file is saved with that orientation. Check the result downloaded from FilePico.
Keep the original and preferably use an unsigned copy: editing can invalidate a digital signature.
Rotation, straightening and limits
This tool corrects orientations in 90° or 180° steps. It does not straighten slightly tilted scan lines or turn a portrait page into a new landscape layout.
Page content is kept: a scan remains an image, and rotation does not add OCR or selectable text.
A PDF can be up to 50 MB, within a session limited to 150 MB and 1,000 pages. Password-protected files need an unlocked copy.
