A HELPING HAND

Split a PDF into one file per page and download the ZIP

A document contains several sheets and you need a separate file for each. FilePico creates one PDF per page and collects them in a ZIP without sending your document to a conversion server.

Choose individual pages, two parts or an extract

A PDF page is one sheet, not a region within it. Ten pages produce ten files; a sheet containing three receipts remains one file. Use Split scanned receipts to crop receipts within a sheet.

Use Split a PDF into two files to divide a document into two parts. Use Extract PDF pages to collect selected pages in one new PDF. These operations produce different results.

Create and extract the archive

  1. Open Save each PDF page separately and import your document. Check its page count and the active document if several PDFs are loaded.
  2. Create the result and download its ZIP. Downloading an archive does not automatically extract its PDFs.
  3. Open or extract the ZIP in your file manager. Put the copies in a separate folder from your originals.

Example: four documents in one scan

Source: a 4-page document
Result: 1 ZIP containing 4 single-page PDFs
Checks: 4 files · order 1 to 4 · content of every sheet

Open every extracted PDF: each should contain one page in source order. Numbered filenames distinguish the copies; they are not inferred from merchant names, dates or content.

Individual files help with filing but may increase the total size because some PDF resources must be repeated. This operation does not compress documents.

Limits and checks before sharing

Produced files are limited to 150 MB. If processing fails, prepare smaller documents rather than repeatedly running the same batch. ZIP is a transport format: send the extracted files when the recipient asks for PDFs.

Download before reloading, closing the tab or changing language. Your original stays unchanged on your device. Check forms, annotations and signatures in the copies; do not assume that split files are equivalent to a signed original.

Splitting pages does not redact information within a retained page. Read every copy before sharing a document containing personal information.
