Steps, formats and limits

How to use this tool

  1. Paste your HTML or try the example.
  2. Select Extract text. Check the paragraphs, lists and characters in the result.
  3. Copy your text or download it as a UTF-8 TXT file.

What is kept?

Text, paragraph breaks, list items and simple table rows. HTML entities such as & become readable characters. Links keep their visible text, without their destination addresses.

What is removed?

Tags, comments, scripts, styles, document metadata and embedded content. Images are not loaded or transcribed. This is a simple text extraction, without CSS layout or OCR.

Can I paste code from an email or a web page?

Yes. Paste the HTML itself. If you paste text already copied from a rendered page, its tags are usually already gone. Malformed HTML may need manual correction; check the result.

Is the HTML executed or uploaded?

No. The pasted HTML is tokenised locally and never mounted on the page. No scripts run and no external resources are fetched. Up to 200,000 HTML characters, 10,000 tags and 100 nested lists or excluded containers.
