Clean my photos

Share the photo, not its embedded information.

Up to 20 photos · 20 MB per photo · 100 MB total

The format is kept. JPG and WebP are recompressed; colours may change. Keep your originals.

    What is removed

EXIF data, GPS location, comments, XMP information and other embedded blocks. Copies get generic filenames. Colour profiles are not retained.

Visible content remains: faces, addresses and recognisable places are not hidden.

Still images only, 24 million pixels and 12,000 pixels per side. Downloads: up to 150 MB. Your files stay on your device; download before closing or changing language.

    Steps, formats and limits

    How to use this tool

    1. Add your JPG, PNG or static WebP photos, or try the fictional sample.
    2. Select Clean my photos. Preview the copies and keep your originals.
    3. Download individual photos or the ZIP. New generic filenames replace the original names.

Does this hide faces or visible text?

No. It removes embedded data, not visible contents. Use the masking tool for visible private details.

    Does image quality change?

The image is decoded and re-encoded in the same format. JPG and WebP are recompressed; colour profiles and some colours may change. Transparency is kept in PNG and WebP. Check orientation and colours.

    What are the limits?

20 photos, 20 MB each, 100 MB of source files, 24 million pixels and 12,000 pixels per side. Downloads up to 150 MB. Animated PNG and WebP are refused. Convert HEIC first with the iPhone photo converter.

    Are my files uploaded?

No. Processing stays in your browser. Nothing is saved automatically. Download before closing or changing language.
